Perhentian May 2008
Morning at Perhentian.

Chao turtle!

Fishes are really camera shy, it's really hard to get a good shot of them.

Strong underwater current and fishes trying to cling on for their lives.

Map pufferfish. This guy is about 40cm long. The photo doesn't do it justice.

I think they are racoon butterfly fishes.
It's a garden down there ...

with installation art ...

and floral arrangements.

Redang May 2008
Infamous titan triggerfish. It's really hard to take good photos, they're always swimming so fast.

Where there's anemone, there's nemo!

Moray eel.

Parrot fish, I think.

Sea cucumber for Jan. I chose the weirdest looking one.
I think they're schooling bigeye trevallies.

Blue spotted ray.
I think it's an angelfish, but haven't figured out which species.

My first nudibranch!

Bluering angelfish and Bre in the bottom left corner.

More chao turtle!
More schooling fish. There were so many fishes, from far the school looks like a storm cloud.

Mathilda's Adventures!

Mathilda go for exciting car rides, where she encounters exciting sights.

Mathilda goes on exciting dive trips, where she sees exciting corals.

And exciting walks with exciting trees, ...

exciting flowers, ...

more exciting flowers, ...

and snake!

And policemen battling the fierce, exciting phython.

It takes 4 exciting policemen to bag the snake. Wasn't that exciting?
The End ...

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound ...

These photos are taken by Justin, the guy in the photo in my earlier post. He used a Fujifilm F31d.Diving gives you a sense of weightlessness that's as close as you can get to flying. One of the rare photos of me where I look almost cool.

Me looking not so cool any more.

Resident moray eel at Tioman Ringgis.

Can you spot the two cuttlefishes?

Cuttlefish look so awesomely cute with their sad, cartoon like eyes and tentacles. Makes me feel guilty for eating seafood. I've also decided I shall not bully sea cucumbers any more just because they can't bite or sting me, cause that's just bully-behavior.

Mathilda's Day Out - Tioman 2008

Bubble making in the deep blue

Playful batfishes, puppies of the sea

Close encounter with the fishie kind.

And there will be the occasional goofy diver
Crown of thorns

Alien pod!

And more alien pods! Actually I have no idea what they're called.
And then there'll be the sea urchins, up close and personal.
