Thailand 2008: Candids and then some more ...

Sukhothai with local transport, which I took to the old city. And my set of wheels at the old city, not exactly babe magnet, but it served it's purpose well. Animals I encountered while trekking.

My accommodation in Chiang Mai, not exactly the Hilton suites, but it is cheap and fairly decent. He is smiling because he intentionally positioned himself in my shot. I know, because he came up to me and asked if it was a good shot. Idiot.
ET phone home.
Stall selling prettily packaged spices.
Street hawkers at Chiang Mai bazaar.
Yum!
I pad-locked my check in baggage. Instead of cutting my lock, they decided it was faster to just rip out the zips. Although they didn't take anything, there goes my backpack. Assholes.

Thailand 2008: Chiang Mai Adventure

Woman from hill tribe weaving

Hill tribe compound

Padi field

Rest stop at waterfall

A tourist from another group nearly drowned here after being caught in underwater current

My ride for the day, comes with free baby elephant

My chauffer

Terrain we're travlling through

View along the way
Souvenir photo

Only photo of bamboo rafting as it is a wet ride and unsuitable for puppy. With me on ride is Gustavo (right) and Eskander (back) from Germany. It is a funny picture with me looking dorky and a fat man rowing the raft.

Thailand 2008: Sukhothai

Dreamy Sukhothai

Buddha in morning light

Stupa

Doesn't it look a little theme park-ish?

Pigeon living at Sukhothai!

Buddha hands!

I thought it was funny how it is so out of nowhere.

More Buddha!

Famous beautiful walking Buddha?
