DAY2: Halong Bay

I want to live in Vietnam, the people don't seem to have to work. They just sit around all day and do nothing much. I reckon it's because you can survive on very little. We got up bright and early and the guide picked us up in a MPV and we're off.

It is a long ride to Halong Bay, but I reckon it's well worth it. I chose a day trip, cause I wanted to spend more time in Saigon, but if you have the time, you can stay overnight in one of the junks, it's not expensive. Our first stop was a little fishing village that sells seafood and fruits. You can shop here and the crew on the junk will cook it for you.

Halong Bay is really rather amazing, but most of the photos will just come out looking pretty similar, i.e. lime stone in water, so I just selected a few. Next, we stopped to explore one of the caves. The lights in the caves are man-made, but it's still pretty awesome nonetheless.

And that pretty much concludes my day at Halong Bay. I know it doesn't seem that awesome from this post, but it is. And also, I spent about seven hours travelling to and fro.
